The Honolulu Learning Journey offers a unique opportunity to explore how Indigenous wisdom, cultural stewardship, and community-led innovation are shaping solutions to some of society’s most pressing challenges. Through the lens of Hawaiʻi’s communities, participants will discover how local leaders are advancing new approaches to youth opportunity, workforce development, economic mobility, education, health, technology, environmental stewardship, and community resilience.

Hosted in partnership with the Liliʻuokalani Trust on October 13-15, the experience will highlight how Native Hawaiian values and place-based leadership are informing systems-level solutions that strengthen families, communities, and future generations through immersive site visits, candid conversations, and collaborative learning experiences.

This invitation-only executive gathering brings together leaders from healthcare, philanthropy, corporate social impact, sports, entertainment, government, and community organizations to advance the future of community health and gun violence prevention.

Co-hosted by the Social Innovation Summit (SIS) and the Health Alliance for Violence Intervention (HAVI), the event is grounded in a message of optimism and progress. Communities across the country are demonstrating that violence is not inevitable, and that investments in evidence-based, community-led approaches are producing measurable declines in shootings, homicides, and trauma while improving health, opportunity, and public safety. Through a curated leadership conversation and meaningful relationship-building, attendees will examine the partnerships, innovations, and investments driving this momentum and explore how leaders across every sector can work together to scale these successes to more communities nationwide.
